Just a quick update on a few things:
1. Andrew has managed to secure us four great interviews to conduct this summer. As previously mentioned on my thread over at the StarWars.com message boards, we will be interviewing John Jackson Miller and John Ostrander, and we have now confirmed two more, which I’ll mention once I know we can announce them.
2. Based on the information Andrew sent me, it looks like we’re set for two episodes each month this summer (May, June, July, and August). You’ve already heard about the May episodes (the novelizations in one episode and more Knights of the Old Republic, the three Purge comics, and the Boba Fett Omnibus in another).
June should have a regular review episode that includes an author interview and a “.5″ episode with the JJM interview. July will have a themed episode, then an episode with the first half of the Ostrander interview, plus reviews of the first four Legacy collections. August would then have a reviews and an interview in the regular episode, plus a “.5″ episode with the rest of the Ostrander interview and a review of the rest of Legacy.
And, yes, there’s still more planned, if we can pull it off.
3. My WARS Earther novella was submitted on Easter Sunday. It was then returned to me last weekend with editorial feedback, then all final tweaks were made this week between me and the publisher. It has now been sent to Decipher for final approval. Based on the publisher’s very high opinion of the first novella, I’ve been offered the chance to write the second Earther novella (in what will eventually be a trilogy of trilogies between all the writers: three Earther novellas; three Maverick novellas; and three Gongen novellas). I have already started bouncing ideas back and forth with the publisher about potential storylines for the second novella.
4. Video game reviews will continue here pretty soon. The Dante’s Inferno: Trials of St. Lucia DLC is on the way soon, but I’ve also set my sights on reviewing more overall series, most likely starting with the Street Fighter franchise. However, these reviews are pretty low on the priority list. (Yes, I’m still playing God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War: Betrayal, and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for future reviews.
5. I’m making some progress on the U.S. History podcast study guides that I’m being paid to produce for the school where I teach. I’m hoping to have them done in time to not have to do much work on them over the summer, so I can focus on the second WARS novella and the Star Wars Timeline Gold.
So, y’know, stuff’s moving along.
