The Force runs strong in you. But you must beware.
With great power comes great responsibility.
Power is the heart of the dark side; it’s secret lure.
The dark side corrupts from within, you must stay vigilant.
Or do you….?

When one’s path is to stand against darkness, how long until the light starts to fade?
Time and time again those who set out on the path of light have become victims of their visions of a more peaceful galaxy.
The Jedi themselves could be viewed as the first victims, or the harshest punished for their studdies with the Force. If one considers that it was Fallen Jedi who formed the Sith, and the Sith have kept the Darkness strong in the galaxy.
Time and time again the dark side of the Force flourishes. Pain, Terror, Death, War, these are things the darkness uses to grow. All that can be done is to fight the darkness.
But how?
Birth is light, so every life is light inherently. Unfortunately the same can not be said for the same life once it has been exposed to others who have been colored by life experiences be it light or dark.
Darth Maul was born a child of the light, but didn’t stand a snowballs chance on Mustafar of staying in the light once Darth Sidious’s hands got a hold of the boy.
For the dark side is a stain. It’s a stain on the Force, something that was and is natural has been used as a weapon of evil. When Sidious interacts with beings: from the first MOMENT he’s influencing them with his darkness.
The ingenious weapon of the Sith is nature’s dark side.
The two sides of the ONE coin.
As man is born in light he lives in both light and darkness. And the Sith can use the natural parts life just as easy as the Force. For what better way to leave a lasting stain on ones soul then by getting them to see through your eyes on their own. And the Sith know patience so the seeds of their work do not show until it is too late.
Every Sith has suffered and felt pain, for they thrive on it in one form or another. But what are they but a chain of pain being inflicted on one generation after another, leading all the way back to the Jedi.
No wonder the Sith hate the Jedi so, in the Sith’s irony they are trapped in principles.
None more so then Bane’s Rule of Two in some ways. Each Sith Lord seeking an apprentice. Unless the apprentice sought out the Master- which kind of defeats the “going underground” idea.
These apprentices from the moment the Lord has laid judging eyes on you begins to bring you in. Then as they find the way to convince their apprentice to agree willingly do they show them the true horrors that the Sith have mastered in their time in exile from the Jedi.
Life after life in tragic service to darkness. And as the Sith Order’s powers grew, so did their dark side. As Bane foresaw the Sith Order did indeed grow more powerful until Darth Sidious was able to exact the Revenge of the Sith upon the Jedi and the galaxy.
But one must wonder to what degree does the light in each person chosen to walk the dark paths of the Sith dim?
Dooku clearly felt “right” in his decision to become a Sith Lord. Just as Anakin Skywalker did. Yet it was Luke who reminded Anakin of who he was and that the light was still within. But might not Dooku have been reached? Some say Darth Sidious was without hope.
But one must wonder at what point does playing with the dark side taint the light inside to absolute darkness?
How can one undo the touch of evil that is not of the Force? When illogical actions make sense. When ones way of looking at the world has slipped away and been replaced and you never even noticed it happen.
While with some the fall is slow and drawn out, some others it’s not so subtle. The beauty of the dark side is that it can be shaped. And a Sith Lord doesn’t NEED the power of the Force to corrupt you. But sometimes it does make things easier. Holocrons used by the Sith had been known to have had the capability of turning people into servants of the dark.
But as the Sith have shown us the one main thing that drives people to the dark side is pain. There is something that pain draws from the dark side, and it IS something natural. But it is a door. A door that can take a person to a place that they may never come back from.
Jacen Solo didn’t. A’sharad Hett didn’t.
It is true one can Master the dark side. But the toll is large, and the ways to avoid the charge are vial to say the least. But is it worth it?
Is it?
No seriously think about.
All the evil that occurred lead to the end result, the ends don’t justify the means, or do they?
We all want to say no. We all know that it’s no.
But is it?
Was it not Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the Sith and his legacy as a Lord that put him in the position to be able to fulfill the prophecy? And wasn’t it Luke’s own suffering that demanded revenge? Was it not the Father’s righteous kill out of love and hurt by pain inflicted that ended the hold the Sith had once more?
Darth Caedus’s death left the galaxy more unified then ever, and his sacrifices destroyed his family in many ways. And yet it didn’t, his turn lead to once more the end of the Sith. His Mastery demanded his death. And even at the hands of his own sister his family remain close. His was the life destroyed.
Mara Jade Skywalker’s death came at the hands of the dark side. She went out hunting, looking for the kill. And in the end, her days of balancing the line of light and dark came to an end, and helped usher her nephew Jacen Solo into the ranks of the Sith Lords. Her own part of the darkness that worked towards the light.
This is the secret of the light.
It is ALWAYS darkest before the dawn.
When ever all hope is lost, light will answer. Hope will flare, and the light will shine. And even as one candle alone in the dark can hold the night at bay, it draws more near. And in time the balance will turn.
The Force, like Time, and the galaxy itself is always turning.
Always marching on.
And in the end be it light or dark the question about each beings life is simply:
“What have I done?”
